King tide describes the highest tides of the year produced by the gravitational pull on the ocean by the sun, the moon and planets. With sea level rise (SLR), king tide flooding is becoming higher than the predictions. Not sure what king tide flooding looks like? Check out the following videos of king tide flooding in Māpunapuna (Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi). Be sure to click and drag around inside the 360° video to see different view points at this location impacted by sea level rise and king tide flooding.
